all week me and my children have been making a dinosaur costume for my youngest daughter to wear to school today. Amelia who is 4 was helping to make the costume it was her idea to be a dinosaur. However this morning time to put on the costume and she was so upset insisting on wearing her uniform. She wouldnt eat breakfast and cryed all the way to school, it was really upsetting to see my daughter so sad at what the other children were excited and happy about. When we got to school she was scared and wanted to go home, but i stayed a while and setled her down about 1 hour. She did not wear her costume and did not want to be with the other children so she sat at the back of the class and i left her. I feel bad leaving her she seems so young when she is in a situation she doesnt understand. Amelia is in a good school who are supportive so she should be ok but i hated leaving her. And i missed yet another doctors appointment at 9.10 am one day i will get to the doctors for me. |

awww poor love, it is hard especially when they wear a uniform as it is part of a routine, matt used to hate non uniform day as he thought it meant he wasnt going to school lol she will prob join in a bit more when she has settled especially if they are a good school
do make sure you get to the doctors, your health is important, you need it to look after your daughter ![]() corinne There comes a point in your life when you realize:Who matters,Who never did,Who won't anymore...And who always will.. it turned out a bit better, with the support of the staff she dressed up for a while today. But at the end of the day her teacher explained to me that Amelia was finding lunch times and asembles difficult, my daughter had told the teacher they are to noisy. Im glad she has told them at last she has been telling me for a few weeks but i was afraid the school would think i was over reacting so choose not to say anything to them. I have deciced to bring my daughter home for lunch for now any way so she eats something it might make her feel happier at school if she is not hungrey.

when matt was young he didnt cope with assembly so he would spend the time with a teaching assistant in the classroom drawing, now he is at college he doesnt really deal well with the dining room at break time (he has a packed snack) so they have a room with low lighting that shows films quietly for Children that dont like the hussle and bussle of the dining area and he sits in there in the corner and eats his snack there and is a lot happier as its very busy at break with everyone trying to do stuff in the 15mins. is there somewhere at the school perhaps a side room where she could eat her meal?

It sounds like Matt is in an ideal surrounding! ![]() Our Irish members can also use our new website for Ireland which is |
