Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education,acess to services,respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

bad new is it was my 4 yr olds xmas play today and when people where clapping mckenzie freaked and had a meltdown so we missed nearly the all the play Sad and then mitch asked where i went as he noticed me leave i feel so bad for him Sad

good news i think mckenzie actally interacted with me today i was asking for kisses and was kissing him on the cheek and then he lent forwards with his mouth open and tried to kiss me on the cheek i was so overwelmed i cried lol just a little thing that means so much to me

Sorry you missed the play. But fantastic news about mckenzie leaning in for a kiss. A lot of our lives are tinged with sadness then utter joy. One hell of a rollercoaster. It is hard trying to watch a play and make sure your other child is happy too. xx

Similar thing here only it was toddler who seems to of fell into the terrible 2s this last week, he kicked off so I had to leave slightly early. Fantastic thing though that he interacted with you. It's very true that those little moments mean so much to us. Here's hoping its the start of something positive and continues xxx
