Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Still no news about DFG Grant
cheapsensorytoys
Back at the end of Dec i applied for a DFG Grant so we could have a downstairs toliet put in to help with us potty training Ben as he isn't good with stairs. As we live in a housing assosation property (was council but they sold their stock over) we've had to go through them.
My support worker on friday said on friday that she has heard from them and they are questioning if Ben really nees a downstairs toliet or not. My support worker has said that we can fight it as she belives we have a good case for having one put in. My health vister has also said that she will write a supporting medical letter for us.
Why is it so diffcult to get one.
