Hi kerry, i have seen people mention statement banding before as hours but when i googled statement banding to clarify, all i could find was letters so band A-D and there is an option to go further than a D if the childs needs cannot be met on a band D which is for severe/complex needs. It says each banding has a money value so i suppose it is down to hours and funding......hope thats of some use lol, we havent quite got to the statement stage yet but will be either this year or next Confused it scares me already!!!

xx

Well we were really lucky because i didnt even no what a statement was at the beginning of last year and he was given a band 5 statement straight away after the assessments etc (so i band 5 the highest you can get) im guessing so because my son as special school, free transport and 1 2 1 all day every day at school if it is to do with hours and funding, i also couldnt find much on the net when i googled it!
thanks for your help

It maybe a local council thing using numbers rather than Letters.
What council do you come under Kerry?
