Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education,acess to services,respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Weighted blankets/lap-lads

Is anyone selling a weighted item? I want to buy one for my daughter and their expensive. I just dont want to spend alot of money, on something she may not use...

Daniel....I wonder if you could get some of us parents a good price on weighted products?

Its something we did look at but to be cheap we would need to look at importing the items but obviously any savings are lost because of the weight of the parcels pushing up delivery prices. Blush
However its something we could look at again.

What would members say was a fair price for weighted items?

Yes, I understand that its the shipping/p&p, that puts the cost up. Just thought that I would ask you anyway. There are some independant sellers, cottage type industries that seem to be making them, so I will start off with a lap pad for about £20 quid and take it from there....
