Hi Soady also don't 4get that your child is tax exempt from anything you buy online or shop. This is a form to fill in on most websites be it buying specialised items for your child you just type in what your child has or nearest to, or even send off. hope this helps. not everyone knows about this.

Hello Soady, Thanks Soady I will post this information onto the benefits forum, I am new to the site but have lots of information that will help a lot of people, thank you for telling me about this.
Disabled people do not have to pay VAT when they buy equipment for disabled adult/child, or on the adaptation of equipment so they can use it.
On websites they have VAT exemption forms to fill in when you are buying products, you can print this off and send off to them. You will see the item when on websites the before tax and after tax. Or in store the supplier should have copies of this VAT exemption forms for you to fill in.
There is a web site that you can go onto for more information on the rules and regulations applied to vat relief, please see the section UK HM Customs and Excise webpage concerning VAT relief for disabled people.

I hope this fills you in more and helps you. x
