been told the benifits office will deduct the full careres allowence from your benifits if you claim careres is this true? i thought you could earn up to £90 odd a week before you get this deducted, seems a bit mad that one department gives it to you, then the other takes it from you at the same time,

Not all of it, the deduct about £25/£30 a week out of £55 so you still end up berter off Smile xx

If you apply successfully for Carer's Allowance, and you are on Income Support or income-based Job Seekers' Allowance, you should receive the Carer Premium automatically. If the Carer Premium is not added to your benefit within a couple of weeks of receiving the decision about Carer's Allowance, take the letter awarding benefit application to your local Social Security office and ask for Carer Premium to be paid.

right not sure i understand all that, daniel, sorry to misguide you all but they take the full lot off me, after they have taken all deductions i'm left with 10.31p a week i need to show someone the letter to show them what they are deducting as i really need help
