Well it seems it didnt affect your children and i suppose with a condition such as theres it has benefited them which is nice to hear and also nice to hear a success story.
How did you find the education authority were with you for choosing this?
Did they make you jump through any hoops?

I was in Milton Keynes who have the most supportive LEA I have ever met. They were great and gave me all the resources they had and after that left us alone.

Do they follow up to see how its going or send work of any kind?
Do you need to work to a certain standard or anything like that?

No they ask to come round and do a general check once a year which I don't mind. I always kept a quick diary of what we had done eg went to museum did an activity sheet on egypt but no they don't give you work and as far as I can see there was no standard as long as he seemed to be progressing. Told you its easy didn't I ? lol

debfro i can just tell you you are brave, i am just fortunate i think my son gets a good education when he is in special school and he is mixing with other pupils and has a lot of friends ast school even sending him to school is respite for us.

Daniel i think you could get a debate going here about home education. I think socialising for the Children are a big big yes yes ,so there are in with other Children.
My son is on the autistic spectrum and he coping well at special school.
