Hi just wanted to say that my little boy is in a special needs nursery he has no intellectual delays, in fact he's advanced for his age. We haven't decided what we're going to do when he's 5 yet he can either stay in his special school or go into mainstream but we've been promised that he will recieve the max number of statemented hours, so you really don't need to have GDD to get statemented or to get a place in a special school, although special schools are frequently so over subscribed. We were lucky that jacobs medical needs meant he took priority over anyone else who had applied as he needs a qualified nurse around at all times. Hope you get it all sorted quickly!
