Has anybody attended the Makaton sign classes and how did they find them?

my daughter uses makaton she has done since she was a toddler l find it really great stops all the screaming and tantrums l went on a course years ago through my daughter,s old school l found it really interesting

I did "sing and sign" with Owen since he was really tiny (which is meant to be baby signing for hearing, typically developing babies) because the first course was free through sure start and then carried on with it (obviously it was a good thing to help him although I didnt know about his ASD then). Most of the signs are the same as Makaton & I also bought their DVD & the anne kubler books from their classes. After that we just used Mr Tumble! It was good because you do it with the child and there is singing etc as well (Owen loves music). I think a lot went in through the songs even though he was mostly running round the room turning the lights on and off etc! lol.
