my son reece had his blood tests today, for fragile x and other things. im hoping the doctor will recieve them by the 12th december - the date of our next assesment. does anyone know how long it takes to get the results back?

he was a complete trooper, very brave. he came home to tell me the doctor is taking his blood to test for super powers. and he came home with a remote control spiderman heilcopter and a animal plaster.Angel

It all comes down to individual hospitals and the type of test.
Some tests are done same day and show up the next day on the doctors screen.
Some of Euans show same/next day others take a month :cmas_emoticon045:

If you know the exact blood test type ill take a look around and see the averages .:cmas_emoticon066:

isn't fragile x a genetics test? if so it could take a long time. My youngest had to have genetics testing when he was born and it took about 8-10 weeks to get the results as they have to send them to specialist labs who always seem to be short of staff :S and very unco-operative! if they're doing it in-house it may not take so long, you could always phone the lab direct and ask but like i say, sometimes they can be very unhelpfull!!
