my son who is 6 and has ASD is a big fan of his birthday suit, he seems to have no shame at all - lol. i havent had the problem you have but i was expecting it. although when he started doing P.E his keyworker has to discourage him from just getting in the nude!!! although he cant be the only one because he told me that his friend ellie had 'two bums'. he thinks girls just havent got there wiggly bits yet. he more of a shed all his clothes the second hes home, but if someone comes to the door or we have company he has to be taken to get some clothes - or he just wouldnt be bothered.

my daughter who is 3 1/2 with autism - she will take her summer dresses off. the most embrassing place was in a doctors appointment.

hi becky, sorry but i had to laugh about the two bums,i have a portage worker coming tomorrow so i will ask her advice as she specialises in asd.I think so as not to go mad its better to laugh at some of the things our children do,autistic Children can be so funny without meaning to be.

We had the these troubles too. I found the only way with the nappy was to quickly lie him down and straddle him with my back facing him so he couldn't get his arms round my sides or kick and do it as quickly as possible. I'm sure most childcare experts would be horrified but I after a few bad incidents including waiting over and hour in marks & spencers baby changing with other people coming and going trying to persuade him to get a nappy on and also my husband bringing him out naked into the sainsburys cafe saying he couldnt get it on there was little option!
