In addition they can also send out an extensive range of leaflets and claim packs and help you to complete a claim form over the phone.

Family Fund[/u]
The Family Fund helps families with severely disabled children to have choices and the opportunity to enjoy ordinary life.

The provide grants for things that make life easier and more enjoyable for the disabled child and their family, such as washing machines, driving lessons, hospital visiting costs, computers and holidays.

The Fund is a registered charity, helping around 50,000 families in the UK with £30.5 million in grants a year.

Just wanted to add another service to this thread:

BT FREE DIRECTORY ENQUIRY SERVICE - for disabled people who have problems handling or reading a telephone directory, or who are blind or severely partially sighted, or have a severe learning disability. Telephone 195 for more details and an application form.
Parents of disabled children also qualify so worth registering if you need numbers frequently.
