Hi all
does anyone know what a sleep nurse is/what they do?
our neurologist is referring our daughter to one as she wakes five or six times a night for anthing between 15 mins to an hour.

Thanks.

Hi, just wondering if maybe he were talking about a nurse who does the sleep studies?

This is a link to an info sheet from Great Ormand Street - http://www.gosh.nhs.uk/gosh_families/information_sheets/sleep_study/sleep_study_families.html

My son has had a number of sleep studies done to see if he were breathing properly whilst sleeping but I know they are used to diagnose a whole host of problems including insomnia.

I just googled around and it would seem the sleep nurses do the sleep studies as Dawn suggested.
