When you get supporting letters to go with your medical application make sure you get copies of them before taking them in and also receipts. I only say this because we were in the position of needing to move house a few years ago and our council managed to lose EVERY report we sent them..fortunately I had copies so was able to re-submit. Also make sure you check the information they have every so often...our council didn't even have on our file that my youngest has cerebral palsy despite that being the reason we were awarded medical points in the first place!! As has already been said if your child's conmdition means he is unlikely to be able to walk then the council will wait until they have a property with a downstairs bathroom and space for a bedroom possibly as well to avoid having to move you again in a few years.
