Right with the 6 weeks holidays coming up i thought it would be good to start a thread in which we as parents can recommend or review days out across the country.
Have you been somewhere that offers excellent care and facilities to special needs or disabled children?
Or have you been to somewhere you wouldnt advise people go because of the lack of disability awareness.

DO REMEMBER THOUGH to give a reason for your thoughts.
For example a place might not be great for those children with walking problems but maybe fine for others and also a place which may suit some children may not suit children with other conditions.
Feel free to include any pictures of the trip.
And if you are planning a day out and see something that is excellent or not great take a photo of the facilities and upload it here.
Think it will be an excellent way to build a database of reviews.

So lets try and set some standard information from the following:

Venue

Location

Admission price-

Any discounts for disabled people and carers?

What was the venue like?

What is your overall impression of the facilities?

Would you say the facilities were disabled friendly?

Please give a review on your trip?

I have added a new section forum in the Lounge section of the website so if you want to make a review and i BEG you to do so to help other parents then please start a new thread in the new section titled:
Special needs and disabled children days out

Lets make the ultimate database of days out for children with special needs so that we really have a honest viewpoint.
Also if you see an exsisting review feel free to comment on the review with your own comments.

Come on ladies and gentlemen lets get this off the ground and get some reviews Smile

Just wanted to bump this with the bank holiday and school holidays approaching.
If you have a day out please make a review of the venue so that if others attend the same venue they know what to expect in terms of service and access.
Its a great chance to build a database of the venues and how accomdating they are to disabled children.

You may also want to let the place you are visiting know before you go that you are attending to see what the place is like and report back......... you never know what may happen then Wink

The thing with this approach is that a true picture wouldnt be reported on.
So if they threw everything at me then it would be a unreal report for those who simply attend.
A good blag for a quick fix but one that wont give a real picture Smile
