School Report

I received my 7 year olds school report today and I've only just stopped crying. She is doing a lot more in school than she does at home, why is that? Nicole is classed as non verbal but she does have a few words but on her report there's a lot of words that I've never heard her say, its so not fair (feet stamping, lol). There's other things to but I'll just start myself off again. |

Thats Children for you
![]() When Euan started school we said he wouldnt do this and wouldnt do that and he will do this and guess what everything was the other way around ![]() He shows us up on an almost daily basis ![]() Its just like when Children are ill and end up at the doctors and as soon as they get there they run around fine and then you take them out again and its back to square one.At least you can be proud he is doing stuff and although its upsetting because you dont see it much at least you know she seems to be settling. Also sometimes i do wonder with school reports if they use general terms for everybody as bad as it sounds rather than actually focusing on the child. ![]() Our Irish members can also use our new website for Ireland which is |

I do hope the school are being truthful about this, so often they aren't. If I were in your shoes I would ask to see the head to discuss her huge improvement in in school with a view to bringing some of their management of your daughter to your home. If they are telling the truth they will be willing to help, if they are not they will squirm out of it. You can also ask other parents about your daughter and school
Either way a chat will put your mind at ease |

Would be great to have them transfer some of the excellent teaching methods home and see if she really can do it. ![]() Our Irish members can also use our new website for Ireland which is |

Hello thanks for your comments, Nicole goes to a special school and her report is focused solely on her, its very long and it goes into great detail so were going to try and implement it over the summer. Last night i said one of the words that the report said she could do, AMEN and she repeated it back and closed her hands together, my jaw dropped at this.
Jessiejames, as Nicole and her other peers get the school bus, we wouldn't be able to ask the parents if they've seen anything as they, like me, don't see the classroom on a regular basis (it upsets some of the children). |
