Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Saw the salt today

As title says we saw the salt today, and shes wondering if our son has auditory processing disorder. Have googled it but havent managed to find much info on it.
Anyway we're to make an appointment with gp, which is booked for monday, to arrange a hearing test. As salt wants to rule out any hearing problems first. Then we'll go from there i suppose. Our son has had loads of hearing tests in the past, first test not happy with. when repeated alway happy with results. so no further tests till next professional requests them. never any further action, so we;ll wait and see. Last hearing test was a few months back, rountine one at school. Not happy with results, came back eight weeks later, and happy that time. no further investigations. so wait and see what happens this time i suppose.
