Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

possible brain explosion...stand back!
cheapsensorytoys
49 Just need to off load a wee bit, hope no-one minds.
I just have so much going on right now that I think my brain may actually explode!
Last week on the bus, we hit a load of pot holes which set of Zaks seizures. 10 mins later he was still going, so I gave him his Midaz....it didn't work. A further 10 mins of fitting and I gave him a second dose....still nothing, only now he had gone all excorsist on me. Full TC, of which he has only had one before this. So it was 999 time. He was still fitting and going blue when the paramedics got him in the ambulance, so he was put on oxygen and blue light n sirened to hospital. It took him 6 hours to come round, poor thing.
So....his seizures since have been slightly increased to his normal. All this at the same time as we have his 6 month review at school, his team around the family meeting, his 3rd birthday, his 3rd birthday party, MY DRIVING TEST (Wed) and his sister is going to Liverpool for a week and is terryfied......
Anyone got any tips on stopping said head from going pop!?

You've done the best thing....... talk about it! most of the time when you either see things written down or hear them as discussed it lets some of the pressure off 9
