Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

cheapsensorytoys
:happybirthday:Its k's birthday today we went up to gambados for the day and it was fun he really loved the bubble light tube and the balls pools it was a really nice day.I found it a little hard at times because although he is 2 he doesnt look or act like he is and around children his age and younger its more apparent. But we all enjoyed ourselves and i know he is progressing a little each day he has the quirkiest personality and i cant help but laugh when i should be telling him to stop it and behave .I wouldnt change him for anything in the world.

Know what you mean about noticing how children can be diffrent.
Each and every birthday i do the same with Euan because hes a little dot Smile i notice how much bigger the others are and how well they look.
And as you said your son is progressing in his own way each day and that makes us feel extra proud.
Its natural to do it!

And most importantly HAPPY BIRTHDAY K

My daughter has also turned two in the last few weeks and i so understand what you mean...sometimes it is so hard watching other children of the same age or younger than your child who are more advanced..I am trying to take one day at a time and look at the positives..Happy Birthday to your little one !
