5 years ago my mum was told she didnt qualify for DLA because she was on income support from a council employee even though she can hardly walk without pain but 3 years ago i got on the case and she got higher rate. ![]() Our Irish members can also use our new website for Ireland which is |

it is also because most ppl arent trained in the disability benefits so they dont know how they affect housing and such, i was told matt wasnt entitled to esa because he at college full time but because his course is aimed at his disability (going to pub to learn to communicate and ask for items) its acceptable but when i phoned up originally i was told couldnt have it
corinne There comes a point in your life when you realize:Who matters,Who never did,Who won't anymore...And who always will.. So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future. |

You hit the nail on the head Corinne they are not trained to offer benefit advice.
What annoys me most is they should just say we cant offer advice and refer people to the correct organisation rather than pretending they know and offer codswallop! ![]() Our Irish members can also use our new website for Ireland which is |
