Help mild celebral palsy
cheapsensorytoys
Hello, my 20 month old son has been to see a specialist and i have been told they think my son has mild celebral palsy down his right side. She says there's definitely some increased tone there and resistance to move as his very stiff. He now has to see a physio as occupational therapist as well as be fitted for specialist shoes as his feet go inwards when he walks. He will also eventually need an mri scan to find the cause of his condition, the specialist seems to think it may have been caused by a very minor blood clot on the brain during development. I have also asked for him to see a speech therapist as his speech is very limited and makes noises rather than says words. Just wondering if anyone on here can give me any tips or advice?? Oliver goes to nursery so that really helps him and i take him swimming and to soft play once a week but it would be nice to hear what anyone else does with their children with a similar condition. thanks
