We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Help Social Group For Physical Disabled Teenager in West Yorkshire
cheapsensorytoys
Hi
I trying to find a social group of some kind where teenagers who are physically disabled, ie wheelchair bound, meet to have some fun!

I have a 15 year old son with CP, and he's finding that socialising with his school friends (unless its on the xbox or facebook) is really difficult, actually its non existent (unless he goes out with his twin, but as his twin is now getting girlfriends, I think thats becoming a little bit tricky!). I'm pretty sure he has his eye on a few girls at school, but they only want to be friends (I don't think they can see beyond the wheelchair to the wonderful person sat in it). He's very caring, funloving and witty. He's football mad too!

We live in Bradford, West Yorkshire and I would love to hear from anyone who knows of a group or club or something that can help him? Or alternatively, do you have a teenager in a similar position?

Hope to hear from someone with some ideas to help him

Thank you!
