Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education,acess to services,respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Independent Review of Teacher Supply for Pupils with Special needs.

The Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families have asked Toby Salt (Deputy Chief Executive and Strategic Director, National College for Leadership of Schools and Children’s Services) to lead an Independent Review into the supply of teachers trained to meet the needs of children with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.

To conduct this Review Toby Salt would like to get some views from a range of people who have an interest in this area – including parents such as you.
Members are being encourged to participate in this as it will help shape the education system in the future.
