We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Lucas blue badge!! I can't quite believe it, i really didnt think they'd give us one! Once again i think its thanks to my GP, who actually called me up and asked me what i wanted him to put on the form when filling out his part. Woohoo days out will be so much easier now!

Excellent news Smile
The blue badge has been a life saver for us in terms of access to Birmingham childrens hospital.
The hospital itself charges £10 per day for parking even with a blue badge and on street parking is £4 but for 2 hours with no return within 1 hour so without the blue badge it would be a tenner a day for us which isnt great when Euan can be in hospital for 2-3 weeks at a time.
But because of the blue badge we can park outside the hospital for free with no time limit which is a relief on its self so it has really made a real benefit to Euans care.
