RE: IEP?
No arguments here.
I knew i was right Big Grin
But it was big of Karen to admit wrong doing,Lucy never does its a "Do you want a coffee" as her way of saying shes wrong!!!
Just out of curiousity Emma why is a statement not being considered yet?
Im a fan of statements where possible because they are a 100% legally binding agreement which avoids the funding disputes down the line!

RE: IEP?
not too sure what a statement involves. is that the same as a record of needs/CSP?
i think that the professionals involved with jorja are chartering new ground as they have never dealt with a child with kabuki. as the 1st recorded cases were in the 1980s there is apparently not much info for them to draw from. typical!....my madam is a 1 in a million.....or at least 1 in 32000! lol Tongue

What would you say the needs were with your daughter in regards to the educational side of things?

RE: IEP?
she receives speech & language therapy at nursery just now which will carry on for the foreseeable future as her communication skills are that of an average 1 year old. with regards to her understanding i believe she understands basic instruction although the nursery find that sometimes things need to be explained repeatedly before she can grasp what theyre saying. i really feel that in certain situations she benefits from 1-1 she gets at her current nursery ( this isnt a constant 1-1, only for certain tasks) & im a little concerned that due to staffing levels that the school nursery wont be able to offer this level of support. i plan to raise this issue at next weeks review and hopefully things should move towards support being put in place for her.
also as jorja is still in nappies i am unsure as to how much support they offer with this as all my boys were toilet trained before joining the school nursery.
