Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Hi Karen, thanks for your reply, yeah, we are separated by the M73!

Don't know alot of mums yet with Children with Autism, tried looking for groups to go to in my area to no avail, though we go to Yorkhill once a week to the SCA, met some nice families there.

Do you go to any groups in your area, or are you like me and have very little where you live?? If you happen to know of any in Glasgow or surrounding, please give me a shout Smile

Yeah, would be good to meet up once we get to know each other a bit better Big Grin.

I don't know about you, hardly get on the computer most days until my wee man is tucked up in bed, he never stops!!

Speak soon xx

Yeah Karen, I did go to a group but at the time didn't think it was best for Calum (my boy) there was alot of older children there and not alot that interested him, so didn't really get time to talk to the other parents. Don't know about you, I get so frustrated sometimes, I have friends where I live but their Children don't have problems, so they don't really understand.

Tried the NAS but they aren't any good either, if I had the time and the energy I'd set one up myself!! lol.

To answer your question, I'm not on messenger, I was but i think I've deleted myself off it??

I need a large one 54
