Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

OMG thick housing people part 2
cheapsensorytoys
Well after getting the right application letter send from the housing bloke, I get a phone call from the Social Service OT departement to say they think its been sent to the wrong department. They only deal with adult assessments not children.

What a stupid, idiotic man. So after phone calls to get hold of him (still awaiting a return call) I phoned the childrens assessment team myself.

Stupid, idiotic man had faxed details through to them this afternoon after receiving my calls and SSOT adults assessment lady's calls too.

Now I have been told there is a waiting list that is months longs. (she wouldnt say just how long)

OMG why are these people so hard to get answers from. I need to be safe with my daughter in my own home. Whats it going to take, me/her falling downstairs and either breaking bones or us dead.

Sorry for rant just so peed off again.
