Housing advice

Hi, im Jackie,.
Bit of a complicated issue, sorry.
I live in a 2 bed council house with my fiance,.
My eldest lad 17 (disabled) goes to a residential school for young people with autism and severe learning disabilities, its 6 hrs away from my home Undecided.
My other lad 12, lives with dad in wales, i live in lancs,. Basicly i suffer from schizophrenia, im on DLA, and my fiance is now my carer, (Im hard work, sadly),.
Now i have the youngest in school hols, and every 3rd weekend,. My eldest lad holidays with us, as an when he can, and at xmas/easter etc,.
Basicly, we want to move to a new area, because i get NO support from my family, they cant cope with my illness, but my fiance's family are great with me, an my Children, so we want to move closer to them,. They live a distance away but we try and go their 2-3 times a week, but as were both on benefits were struggling to go, and it depresses us.
Also, my 2 lads cant share a bedroom when they stay, we have a court order stating that my eldest has to have his own room,. Weve been splitting them by having eldest in 2nd bedroom, and youngest in front room, but now my youngest is moaning he wants his own room,.
Weve been on waiting list over 2 yrs, band d, we'll be waiting forever at his rate,.
We cant go private rented as lha said we'd only be allowed 1 bedroom rate! As the children dont live with us permenantly.
The place we live now is proper rough, and im going mad with all the teenagers running riot at night, i swear i cant take much more,.
Can anyone offer us any advise on how we can get move
we need a 3 bed, but obviously because my boys only visit, were at a loss as to what to do,.
Thanks for reading this, much appreciate any help
jackie

My son's dad has been trying for a 3 bedroomed house for when my son goes to theirs, he has his 18 year old step-son living there and obviously an 18 year old, who is in theory a man doesn't want to share with a 6 year old boy. But he's only there one night a fortnight and in the holidays and their council are saying they only have need for 2 bedrooms as my son isn't there more often, so I totally understand. My son doesn't have any disabilities though, so they can't push it on those grounds.

There are legal grounds to challenge housing provision in shared residency cases but if it's a court ordered weekends and half-holiday situation you are at the mercy of a housing officer, there was one case that got through a couple of years ago as they argued that weekends are quality time and weekdays are just school, home for a couple of hours and then bed but it only worked once.
I would ask for advice and help from Families Need Fathers (nothing like Fathers for Justice) as I am sure they can muster a solid letter for you to give to the council... something along the lines of seeking extra staying contact but being restricted by the current housing situation?
