an easy temporary fix is to smear the cracked cistern with putty or silicone sealant, it should last about a week in that state depending where the crack is.
As far as reasonable repair times and not being able to stay there you can get in touch with your environmental health department as they will have access to emergency accomodation IF they deem it reasonable for you to move out on those grounds (cant see it happening myself but techniclly it is feasable) |

hopefully i'm getting this right, the part that's leaking is the top bit not the bit where you sit on, advice below if it is, if its not sorry i have no clue what to do.
If you have stopped the toilet from filling up you could use a bucket of water to clear the toilet after use, until the landlord gets it fixed, just don't tell him your doing this cause he might leave it for longer. The putty or silicone sealant would be great to as fatherjack suggested. ![]() Stacy ![]() ![]() Mother to Terry 11 MLD + ADHD, Nicole 9 Cri-du-chat Syndrome ADHD Asthma GDD Coarctation, Jessica 4 Cri-Du-Chat Syndrome GDD Reflux |

The silicone idea would be a great temporary fix
![]() Just hope it dont turn into a semi permanant fix like it can do with some landlords ![]() But that should work a treat ![]() If not there are legal requirements for housing and it would be classed as an urgent repair which i would be happy to go into if needs be
