Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education,acess to services,respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Broken Toilet

You basically have legal rights that protect your right to clean sanitation thats a clean water supply and toilet.
If this is the only toilet in the house it would be classed as an urgent repair and action should be taken very quickly by the landlord.
Whats been actioned so far if anything and what have they said about the repair now?
Also is it the only toilet in the house?
In terms of the toilet itself if you get desperate over the weekend and the sealant dont work you could turn off the water supply on the stop tap usually behind the toilet and then use a bucket of water and throw this down the main pan after each use as this wont effect the top bit thats broken and wont cause any leaks Smile

luckily my landlord got on the case straight away and he replaced the cistern tank today so its now sorted.He came down on friday bought the part on saturday and had it fitted this morning so problem solved but thank you all for your help

Thats what he said after over 4 hours of trying to find the valve to turn of the water ,then realising he had bought the wrong part so he had to run out and get another that didnt work he had to go back im just glad its all overDodgy.i had alot of mess to clean up after he cut through the wall paper removed skirting board in my sons room in the end the tank he bought the lid doesnt fit the whole toilet needs to be moved for it to fit sorry going on a bit.Anyway time for bedtime early start and as usual37 ds will be up soon thanks again
