Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

pecs is quite easy to start, you can either buy the pack or make your own as they can work out expensive, you just need to find pictures that have meaning for her and photo's work well here like her fave cup with the word drink written underneath it and different foods, ermm to say hello and other things, laminate them (if you have a laminator they are invaluable hehe) and stick velcro on back and get a board and put other side of velcro in lines on that then one extra row on bottom so they can move them to the bottom to make a sentence eventually

dont know if your local library can get these http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2009/j...r-software

There comes a point in your life when you realize:Who matters,Who never did,Who won't anymore...And who always will..
So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

Not free as such but very very good value and worth looking at:

For £20

Less pec cards but for £10

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PHOTO-PECS-CD-over...2306c80437

Personally i would look at the top package.
