Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

do you kno what...i'm gettin a thick skin to people disagreeing with me over my Children. We had a meet up yesterday with emilys teacher before going the docs on the night and they are so dismissive that there is any problem and say they can't believe what we say shes like at home! i mean....they only diagnoses odd from what we ALL said including the teachers Undecided , her teacher yday said she'd like to see what she'd filled in agen.....honestly its bloody annoying! I almost get to the point where i feel like say 'you know what then, i'm not gunna try anymore i'll just let her carry on n when she goes off the rails totally as a teen you lot can mop it up!' but i can't bare to do that cuz i love her to peaces just find her behaviour so difficult! arent people annoying Angry lol

Great about the respite tho Smile we were recomended by the hospital to consider it for euan and i think i might have to as he gets a little older, its not like his condition is ever going to get better! I just can't seem to let go Sad is that terrible or what! i think him starting school might help, give him a bit of indipendance!
