This as left us in the gutter, we have talked to all the people we can talk to, and basically we couldn't afford to fight them in court, So please does anybody know of any were that gives cash donations? we have done 2 carboots and raised £130. i cannot go on and we are lost please any help is good help. |

I am unsure of charitable organisations other than SSAFA who may help with legal costs grants but for that either you or your partner would have had to serve at least one day of paid service in the armed forces.
Union membership legal cover isnt limited to employment law, are you a member of any trade union? House insurance can include legal cover and although some is limited to personal liability claims it may well be worth taking a good look and some advice. Also look up your nearest law centre, they can at least represent your interests at the first stages for free and may well be able to continue or identify funding. I do hate it when councils flex those bully muscles, they all have teams of legal advisers and what seems to a bottomless pit of funding

because of mining/mineshaft near our house,
Can you not get a full report on this matter, it would give yourself peace of mind aswell, no builder will do the work if this is the case and its putting them and you at risk. But if there's none there, you just have to give the report to the council and they'll have to back track on what they said. ![]() Stacy ![]() ![]() Mother to Terry 11 MLD + ADHD, Nicole 9 Cri-du-chat Syndrome ADHD Asthma GDD Coarctation, Jessica 4 Cri-Du-Chat Syndrome GDD Reflux |

I thanks for the reply's, we did get £5000. funding for the council to investigate the shaft as it's not deffo as to it's exact position, but the council refused to investigate because who ever investigates a shaft as to put right, treat what ever, so its a case of "Don't investigate and we dont have to treat shaft, plus we can refuse to do adaptation on the grounds of a SUSPECTED ironstone mineshaft, but they have said we can still build it ourselves with planning permission, they just wont use any more public money on our case, so its safe enough if we paying, but not if they have to pay. What gets me is that they can just go home and think no more of it, me i sit when the weathers bad and wait for something to happen, my partner works 24hr shifts on nights sometimes and thats a long time with 3 Children and a flippin suspected great hole under you. I wish sometimes if there is a bugger then open up and stop toying with my head its proper screwing me up. There must be something or someone who can help, Even someone who can tell us more about the shaft , suspected..... |
