cheap sensory toys

Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Family Fund
cheapsensorytoys
:huh:Hi all, many thanks to Daniel for posting new criteria for the family fund, I think we might actually be able to apply now!
Can anyone advise me what to ask for and how much? Reading the forms it says list up to 3 things-do people do that?
DS is now home educated as couldn't cope in school , I've had to drastically reduce my working hours so we're struggling.
A laptop would be fantastic for him for schoolwork but he's also seeing all the neighbours going off on holiday and keeps asking to go on a plane.
Any adice gratefully received, Maz x

I got a lot of advice from a site called education otherwise, lots of parents who've been there and done it with home education. We didnt need financial support but I am sure many parents do and maybe they'll have the answer for you?
Also freegle (formerly freecycle) are very good at helping get items like laptops/pcs etc. Our local Chester one has a bloke who has recycled over 260 computers to new homes Smile

Hi, thanks for that, we've joines Education Otherwise, I had quite a good job but can now only work on Saturday when hubby's home and I go out with my Avon books at night but we are struggling without my wage. Was on freecycle but we're in Cumbria and as soon as somebody posts something it's gone!
