Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Hi my daughter is 5 & attends a special needs school which is fab. I had a difficult labour which they think brought on the GDD & then contracted meningitis at 9 months that probably delayed her a bit more. It's helped that she's learning sign as she's not as fraustrated, I wish I looked into signing a lot earlier. Hollie had lots of tests & scans which haven't shown anything. Are you going to try & get your daughter statemented for school?

Hi Sazzle,
Welcome to the forum.
Glad to see you getting involved and hope you stick around.
How is your daughter finding school and how did you find the process to get the school to admit your daughter?
