Because people do not want to go and get weighed in a public place (me included) maybe we could do something here. If someone has the books and can work out how many points etc they should be on for weight watchers, i don't know how slimming world works but if someone has used or uses it then they could help to. Obviously we would need to tell them our weight (OMG) but this could be done through private mail. The people that would run it on this site would have to post the relevent points per food or we could get someone from the company's to send the books to us, obviously we would have to pay, but its just an idea. ![]() Stacy ![]() ![]() Mother to Terry 11 MLD + ADHD, Nicole 9 Cri-du-chat Syndrome ADHD Asthma GDD Coarctation, Jessica 4 Cri-Du-Chat Syndrome GDD Reflux |

Lol i was also on reductil, but like you say they took it of the market as was causeing heart problems and strokes! But now im on Orlistat and i know it can be very yukky! if you eat to much fatty foods, so unless you want a shitty bum you have to eat healthier! lol (My dad was on these before he had hes bariatric surgery so i knew what to look forward too lol!) & as much of it is an embarasment to say but, im currently doing sleep studies etc, and the consultant actualy told me and my sister that the only thing what will proberbly help us is bariatric surgery too so we are actualy just awaiting to see if we can get funding for it!! That is embarasing!!!!

I should take my own advice on weight loss and likely will one day BUT kelp is the answer for many many people. Standard strength health shop kelp tablets help boost the metabolism and stem appetite. Unfortunately if you have thyroid problems they are a no no but they really do work. (you can also use dietary grade iodine but that tastes foul and can upset your tummy)
You need to but a bulk pack (usually 500 tablets) so it is cost effective as that's a tenner...... you start the day with something wholemeal and fruity, even organic jam on toast is fine...... then take 4 to 6 tablets and at least 1/2 pint of water. Lunch is all protien and fibre so a couple of eggs and a jacket spud or tuna and pasta but not a huge portion as the kelp and protien make you feel full anyway, once again follow it with between 4 and 6 tablets and at least 1/2 pint of water. Evening meal is meat or fish with as much veg as you can manage, followed by 4 to 6 kelp tablets and at least 1/2 pint of water. You can drink as much black or green tea without milk or sugar, as much coffee as you like but not after 7pm where you only have fruit, milk or water. use fructose sugar rather than normal granulated as it contains pectin ![]() Your total fluid intake should not drop below 2 litres of clear fluid per day. If you need to lose more than 20 pound in weight then this is also good becasue after the first 3 weeks you should average about 5 pounds loss per week and sleep better and have more energy

I want to go down the gastric band pathway but got turned down for it mainly because of having Sophie. Ment I wouldnt be able to lift her at all for 6-8 weeks and thats just wasnt going to happen.
I am now glad that I didnt have it done as am proving that I can do it myself. I have all the WW books and dont mind helping out with pointing foods if people want me too. I dont mind keeping tabs on peoples weight loss either. I know what people feel like been obese and I too am still classed as obese even after losing 51 1/2 lb. (will be nice to get to fat) (note to self check when then would be). I promise I wouldnt tell a sole anyone else's weight, I just feel that if I could help just one other person to lose weight and feel how much better I feel about myself that would be great. |

I know what you mean sara, but hosp think its genetic for us, as we have tried diet after diet, excerise, diet supplements the lot so it may be the only answer for us!
im one of those, i only have to look at a cake nd i put on a stone lol. I can not eat anything (even healthy stuff) without gaining weight!! im doing a sleep study on 20th sept, and due back to see my consultant in december xx (i work with kg, and bmi more then stones/lbs. but can inform, anyone whos bmi is 25+ are aloud to use orlistat tablets, and with the economy being the way it is today not many are accepted for the ops and there trying to stop them all going by nhs in 2020! so hopeing im accepted before then - your bmi has to be greater then a set amount to be concidered tho! (not stateing which as ill show how fat i am lol - no doubt ule be able to find out online tho) x |
