Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

My Daughter passed away

Sorry I have not been on here alot recently . Three weeks ago Lottie passed away , very suddenly. We were on our first nights holiday in Devon and she died in her sleep, she was 15 months old.
Such a shock and deeply sad, don't think it has really sunk in yet. We have had to have a PM and inquest because is was unexpected. This has been done and it was natural causes, we have her funeral on Friday.
Lottie was the light of our lives, born at 23 weeks and fought for life, surprised everyone. I will miss her forever.xx

i am really sorry to hear this and my thoughts go out to you. my gran who i was really close to recently passed and i was given a card with this on it
' a butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam and for a brief moment its glory and beauty belongs to the world, but then flies on again and although we wish it could have stayed we are thankful to have seen it at all'
these words gave me some comfort and i hope they do you too
