I have a friend living in Malta Daniel, she loves it there and keeps on telling me we have to go (dont worry, we wont gate crash your honeymoon!)
anyway, the area she always recommends to eveyone is called Xaghra, Gozo........ you get to be a very short hop from all the touristy stuff but enjoy local nightlife (they have so many festivals it's unreal) and get local prices on your meals out etc.
I'll ask her for a local website so you can see Smile

Hi Daniel,

I would say anywhere in Qawra, we went in May this year and stayed in the Canifor Hotel, (dont go for the appartments though).

Hotel was lovely, staff really nice and facilities lovely and clean.

Qawara is the main bus terminal (about 5 mins walk MAX from hotel) and buses go everywhere a single journey is a about 50p. We got a week ticket for about £10 and its like a hopper, you can get on and off anywhere and everywhere.

Hope this helps

Sharon
