cheapsensorytoys
my 6 year old son happened to wee on my carpet in my living room, i scrubbed it with cleaning stuff and that seemed to work but later it smelled of damp? like it hadnt dried quick enough. then i scrubbed it again. then later it smelled worse than it did in the first place - so i did it again with more cleaning stuff and i took more time to dry it. but it smells still. any tips on neturalising the smell or whats the best stuff to use? its embrassing but im sure this is the right place to ask. any tips welcome - ive tried lemon drops and am even thinking about white vingar as i just want the awful smell gone. thankyou so much

Thats a tricky one. Did you put lots of water on it - if so it might just be the wet smell still & smell better when it dries out??- some carpets do that especially wool ones- have you tried putting water on it before and did it smell as bad then?? I like zoflora myself as that smells quite strong.
Ha ha I've just noticed I'm now a 4 star "I say quite a bit around here!!" oh no I always used to get told off for talking to much at school too!

Maybe the water has gone right through & the laminates stopping it drying up as quick so water is stuck & smelling damp? I still get the odd bits on my carpet where whenever I wash them they stink of cat pee & we've never had a cat! - also we've been here for about 10yrs & cleaned the carpets tons of times. It just seems that the water reactivates the smell. When they're dry its ok even if you stick your nose right in there - strange!
