Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

has he been refered to orthopedic or orthotics?? euan has problems with his feet and has peidro boots from orthotics, he has also seen an orthopedic doc for his bones tho. Euan also goes to a cdc, its good as they get a full overall check but we have had problems getting a diagnosis for our little boy as they want to see how he copes in school first (in other words they want to save money Angry) . Is your little one behind in any of his gross/fine motor skills? what are the sort of problems he has?

Glad the appointment went ok though, sounds like you've got a pretty good doc there

it is good they are doing these checks early, they didnt get matt's feet checked out until he was 14!!, and regarding the aspergers they do have to check they have the right thing because once you get the diagnosis they wont look for anything else and she just sounds like she wants to make sure first

There comes a point in your life when you realize:Who matters,Who never did,Who won't anymore...And who always will..
So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.
