Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Who missed me? oj!!

Had a fab time, got back on saturday but beeeen realy tired lol!

Currently at home in bed wired upto this sleep machine (Dont know how ill get comfy tonight ill tell you that much!! But i shall try lol)

Holiday was fab, Sam was reasonably well behvaed seeing as we had to buy him a buggy before we went (raincape lasted 2minutes with him tho and thats got huge rip in now since he had a benny), and one night we went to the family club to watch george sampson (he went school with my sisters step daughter) and sam ran out of our site. He was gone for all of 2seconds and my heart was in my mouth!! He had gone from our sides and went and sat in middle of all the other children in middle of dance floor! (Dont know how we never nioticed seeing as all 10adults of us was there..??) But luckily he hadnt gone far and all was well (needless to say the wrist reins then stayed on him at all times as he could open hes pram button!! eeek)
Other than that everything was good!

Hope everythings ok on here...will prob catch up tmoz when i got this daft machine off! (Its horrid! lol) xx

Did you even have to ask lucy lol!
i had a machine on my stomach (just below my boobs!)
a strap over my boobs (squashing them) and then a strap over my belly!
I had wires running to this lil machine, a wire stuck on my finger and then a tube thing up my nostrils!
As you can imagine, it was a nigtmare. i woke up about 5am and the nostril pipe was out, i put it back on and woke up at 7.30 and was out again (but with any luck they be able get a good reading!)
I kept wakeing up and looking at my finger (had red light on and i looked like bloody E.T lol) Needless to say once that light went out at 7this morn that machine came off! lol
