Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

I was only outside the door though Daniel. And Karen, he does't normally like to go out but he has a fascination with ninjas at the moment so I thought I would make the most of it lol

I really hope he can do it,it would be an amazing achievement for him.
But saying that even if he goes to only 3 sessions and enjoys them at least he got some enjoyment from it.
Its trial and error really isnt it....
At least you are trying new things so keep up the good work!

Well I have to pay for a years membership next time we go so I have told him if he goes again he will have to attend every week as part of his new routine!!! I am fed up of giving money to groups/lessons, only to stop 2/3 weeks later!!!

He really did show some good concentration though - he usually has none. And one of the other parents said that the other autistic boy has really come on in the group as he used to wander around when he first started. I really hope he will stick to this and it will not be another fly by night idea!!
