We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Big day tomorrow :(
cheapsensorytoys
Tomorrow is a big day for me, having had back problems for 5 months now (im only 22) i had an mri last week and recieved a phone call yesterday, my consultant wants to see me tomorrow Confused I have a bad feeling about it and think they have found something wrong. This concerns me as i worry about who will look after my son if i cant. I feel like a terrible parent for not being able to look after my son properly and dont want to lose him. Im sorry i just needed to unload.

I hope everything goes well tomorrow, I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

I am sure you do the best for your son, but remember there is help out there, I know a lot of people complain about Health Visitors but if you get a good one they are worth their weight in gold. Talk to anyone who will listen and don't be afraid to ask for help, we all need it sometimes.

Take care

I can understand your worries, it is so hard to accept that we are not invincible and may need help...... I havent asked yet but I know the time will come far sooner that I had hoped.
Good luck with the results tomorrow and remember you are not alone Smile
