Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

I honestly have no experience with this but Lucy I just wanted to say hope today is going better and hugs.

My brother used to behave like that once throwing a brick at my moms head amongst a whole host, back then people said he was naughty but mum and dad finally got a diagnosis of adhd. He is better now he is older, but at least there is more help now a days xxx

Oh Lucy - I hope it gets better for you all. Ryan sometimes winds Jack up - despite the 10 year age gap (pathetic eh?). He can make me really upset too when he says things like 'If it wasn't for Jack we'd be going on holiday again wouldn't we?' or 'I wish Jack was like my friend's brother' or 'You don't have time for me now Jack's here do you mum- you and Dave never do anything with me now!' It's horrible isn't it? We just found out today too that Jack has chickenpox - just before Dave starts his week off work - we had been planning on going away somewhere overnight so we could have a day at a theme park - but have had to tell Ryan it may not happen - Hmmm! How can our Children get to us so much???
