Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

VERY ANGRY
cheapsensorytoys
It's Jessica's second day at school and i have just got her off the school bus, she was half way out the bottom of the pram, there's a VERY red mark on her neck from the chest-shoulder harness. and she was covered in sick. The bus that she gets in the afternoon is different from the morning one (the AM one are fantastic). The assistant also let Nicole out of her seat and instead of holding on to her, she let go and she ran to the door, my hubby saw this happening and he ran to her, if she had of tried to get off the bus she would've fallen quite a distance and hurt herself. I'm waiting on Jessica's teacher calling me back, hopefully she will today or i'll have to let this anger stew on until tomorrow.

Dont just phone the teacher, you also need to talk with whoever arranges the transport, sounds like it might be the council - they will line manage this for you.

well said...... I am afraid I would likely have followed it to the depot so that no Children could see me shouting at the driver and escort........ how can anyone be so uncaring!

My son's school transport is run by the council, the escort is employed by the council and the driver and minibus are put out for tender.
The school should have a number and contact for you to ring.

Good Luck!
