Say it exactly how it is, they are in the best position to tell you honestly what they think. be sure to make your preferences known and providing its not dangerous or completely impractical then they should do their absolute best to make sure he is able to attend a main stream support, if you are asked how many hours you believe he needs make sure you give a slightly higher number than what you would be happy with. its much easier to reduce the hours than increase them if he struggles more than you expect once he has started school.
good luck and i hope you get what you want, our educational psychologist was a bit useless but that worked in my favour, he was at my house for about 10mins, i told him what i wanted (place in special needs nursery at my first choice school) and that was what he recommended to the board and my son starts in september.

i think the general 3yr funding is something like 15hrs per week but im fairly sure a friend of mine whos daughter has additional needs managed to get extra hours funded ontop of the 15 by her local authority so it would be worth asking your ed psych about that too.

As stated already tell it as it is try and write down all the keypoints before they come so you dont forget things and then start kicking yourself later.
Goodluck today and let us know how it goes Smile
