Announcement

Families who have children and young people with special needs very often deal with similar life styles. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Oh beks you are so lucky, you have a WHOLE network of home ed groups in London doing fantastic things so I here..I am in Scotland and envy it!

I will sort some stuff out for you and PM you with the details...be prepared for lot of emails in the future, not from me, with support and practical help. If you take the offers up you are about to become very busy with just LIFE and you son will have knowledge beyond his wildest dreams

If you are going for home ed do not review the statement...just forget it you don't need it and it will NOT achieve anything but unwanted interference from your LA

Unschooling is a wonderful world of no bullying and like minded people and smart Children!

And we all feel inadequate when we start but in 6 months your son will tell you something very profound that you didn't teach him..you will be totally amazed by him!

well said...... If I had known about the legal side and how well Children do at home I would have started years ago! as it is, my daughter is happy, almost 18 and already at degree level after taking GCSE and A level exams before her 16th birthday.. all being well she will start UNI next year to complete her studies to become a vet and I just know she would not have had the freedom, encouragement and peace to get even this far in a state school.
Remember, when teaching or training anyone you only need to be one lesson ahead of them Smile
