Im just going through all the possible ideas at the moment as my 5 year old daughter who has autism is not doing well in mainstream school, although they seem to think she is, but i wont go into all that. I just wondered if anyone can help me, give advice on where to start with home schooling, finding out how i would do it and if there are any grants to buy things i would need etc etc. Im not definatly going down this route at the moment all i want to do is look into it more, find out how i would do it, if there is money available to help and any other important info that i need to know, and i thought the best thing to do was to ask on here as im sure there are some parents who home school their children on here. |

I home schooled my daughter for her final few years of study. Look up a site called educationotherwise , there are so many links and useful advice there for parents, carers and Children about what you can and cant do, the legal side, benefits of home schooling and forums for sharing advice and resources through one of the links.
We didnt get any financial assistance from anyone but that's not to say it isnt available from somewhere, I was just in a position to pay and have never been well infrmed on entitlements until the last few months (thanks to PODC) |
