We have all had concerns ranging from education, acess to services, respite and other issues directly related to their childrens needs. Parents of disabled children bring families together for friendship, to share information and to support one another.

The forum was created by parents who have children with special needs and is run by parents so we are all in this together. With us you will realise you are not alone

Parents of disabled children launched in October 2009 and we are growing day by day and are fastly becoming a major support resource for all

Hi all,

im new to this forum but i need some advice regarding schooling for my son. My son over the last 2 and a 1/2 years has been to 4 high schools due to the fact that the schools are unable to cope with my sons challenging behaviours, i was just wondering if any peeps out there that could recommend a school provision based heavily around life skills in particular he also has SLD (severe learning disability) also the school would need to be extremely clued up ie meaning different strategies in place if one strategy failed, preferably with a lot of activity based curriculum as oppose to a classroom base as my son finds it extremely difficult in this type of environment.

Cheers for reading... I look forward to someones reply Blush
